This thing works great, but I would not plan on doing too big of a lawn with it. I was pretty tired after doing a very small patch of my 1/4 acre lot.

Bought this to try to control creeping charlie (ground ivy) that has taken over much of my yard to avoid using chemicals. I have used a borax solution and horticultural vinegar that is allowing me to fight it to a stalemate.Pros- Price- Easy to put together- ErgonomicCons- Not a miracle toolOn one side of my house, the yard is pretty much all creeping charlie, though some grass is still coming through. I used this over a 5x5 patch of it to see how it would do. Initially, I was a bit disappointed because when I raked over the section, there was still a good bit of the CC left. However, after going over it in all directions a couple of times, it did remove quite a bit of the cc. There are still little bits of cc in this patch, and if I do not do anything else, it will just come back. However, the dethatching did pull enough of it out and create enough space that I could seed the area with something to help combat it.Using this will probably work, but I will need to be diligent about doing it regularly, planting something else in the space it created, and making sure I water what I plant.

Worked well and did not fall apart or get unscrewed. Good value. I wish it had been made in America though. :(

These are sturdy and strong. The only downside is its a lot of work to de thatch a yard. I ended up buying an electric one and use this manual rake for small areas.
